The Perimax peristaltic pump is used in all branches of analytical chemistry, especially
where it is essential to supply a system with accurately defined liquid quantities.

 Perimax 12 The Spetec Model Perimax 12 may be applied within all areas of analytical and
 preparative chemistry as well as in process department.
 
 Perimax 12 Peristaltic pump
 
Identical drive units are employed in the Perimax 12 and Perimax 16. The only difference is in the configuration of the pump head. A stepper motor ensures that the transport of liquids is carried out reproducible and constant.
Speed and direction of the peristaltic pump can be externally controlled (analog : 0-5 V dc or digitally: 26-2100 cycles) via a DB-9 plug in the rear of the pump.
 
Sets of pre-assembled pump tubing are available in a variety of sizes for the Perimax 12 anti-puls.
 
The pump head with 12 rollers (Perimax 12) provides 1 to 6 channels of liquid flow which is adjustable from 0.004 ml/min to 40 ml/min; or Pump head with 16 rollers phase-displaced (Perimax 16) for 1 to 3 channels of pulse-free liquid flow which is adjustable from 0.004 ml/min to 40 ml/min.
 
The driving motor of the Perimax 12 is equipped with an impulse disk and a light barrier.

  »  Operation 
 
The Perimax 12 peristaltic pump is very simple to operate. The pump tubing is placed around the pump head and secured at each end in a tubing retainer. Pressure against the tubing in each channel is adjusted with a fine screw on the pressure bracket. Function keys are provided for ON/OFF and RIGHT/LEFT rotation. The rotational speed of the pump head is continuously adjustable via a 10-turn potentiometer. Thedigital indicator (0-999) ensures a reproducible speed setting and, therefore, a precise flow rate. A high-speed key provides for brief operation at maximum speed, for example, to obtain fast wash-out of the tubing when changing to another liquid.
